Deliveroo to give away Greggs’ coveted vegan sausage rolls this Friday
UK food delivery service Deliveroo is set to give away sausage rolls from ready-to-eat food chain Greggs this Friday, a number of which will be vegan.
While this is unlikely to be something TV host Piers Morgan will get excited about (if we’re judging by his highly publicized negative reaction to the product), fans of the popular new release have reason to rejoice.
Evidence suggests that, Morgan aside, the plant-based rolls are enjoyed by vegans and meat-eaters alike.
“Finally tried the #VeganSausageRoll,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Gotta say it was nice! Had a regular one straight after for comparison but I’ll be ordering vegan from now on!”
Greggs has also reported record breaking sales numbers of late, which the chain has partially credited to the new vegan product.
We’re not saying Morgan entered the taste test with a predetermined conclusion, but…
Anyway, those seeking the plant-based version should be advised that each location will have just 60 vegan rolls on hand and, judging by the explosive popularity of veganism in the UK, those hoping to score some free grub may have to act quick.
According to , the giveaway applies to Greggs’ London locations in Chancery Lane, East Cheapside, Whitechapel, Victoria Coach Station, Holborn, The Strand, Cheapside, Southampton Row, Ludgate Hill, Paddington, Earls Court, Elephant And Castle, Clapham High Street and Shepherd’s Bush.
