Beyoncé’s trainer Marco Borges plugs plant-based eating on Steve Harvey show
Celebrity trainer and New York Times best-selling author Marco Borges made a case for plant-based eating on Steve Harvey’s talk show earlier this week.
“It’s full of fiber, which helps to lower bad cholesterol, helps to lower blood pressure, helps to lower your risk facts for heart disease, diabetes, dementia, cancer,” he said.
“It’s the one diet in the world that has been clinically proven to not just prevent but also arrest and reverse hard disease. No other diet in the world can say that.”
During the segment, Harvey, and an audience member named Allie, shared how plant-based eating has positively impacted their lives, before Harvey dug into a vegan burger and cauliflower wings, which he shared with another attendee.
Borges, who’s known in-part for his work with superstars JAY-Z and Beyoncé, is a long-term promoter of vegan eating and has authored three books on the topic, the most recent of which is titled The Greenprint: Plant-Based Diet, Best Body, Better World.
You can order Borges’s latest book online, or pick it up in store, but should be advised that following the health and fitness pro’s advice will not turn you into Beyoncé.
We can’t help you with that, either.
Becky with the good hair, maybe — but not Beyoncé.
