Actor and musician Harley Quinn Smith encourages fans to go vegan on Earth Day
Actor and musician Harley Quinn Smith has taken to Instagram with an Earth Day post encouraging her 200,000 plus followers to go vegan.
“One of the best things you can do for the environment is to adopt a vegan or vegetarian diet,” she wrote.
“Animal agriculture is one of the biggest leading causes of pollution and deterioration [sic]. We use SO much land and water to grow food for livestock.”
She said it, folks. Don’t look at us.
Having recently pointed to humans as the reason for an in-zoo jaguar attack, and as part of rough-and-tumble bubblegum punk band, this is a woman who’s no stranger to saying what she thinks — and we’re here for it.
The star also appeared with her father, acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Smith, in a Mercy For Animals video spot earlier this month, where the pair shared details on how they found compassion for animals and made the switch to a vegan lifestyle.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the admittedly hilarious story of Kevin’s heart attack.
What’s that you say? Heart attack stories aren’t funny? Usually not, no, but they are when this guy tells them.
